Example job

Datsun Sunny S13 brake adaptor

The customer approached us for help producing a brake adaptor bracket for his Datsun Sunny to allow the use of larger and more modern S13 brakes.

In this case, the parts were too large and heavy to ship so we helped develop the part remotely.

The first step here was for the customer to produce a dimensionally accurate mock up of the part from paper. He then scanned it with a document scanner and sent us the scan along with a reference measurement. We used this to produce a 3D model in CAD and laser cut an acrylic prototype. Lee then test fitted the first prototype, made some slight adjustments to the design and we re-cut him a second prototype. This design was then approved and the parts have been produced from 10mm aluminium and laser engraved.

Example job

Subaru Legacy front badge support

In this job, a customer approached us about making a mount for a rare Legacy badge for the aftermarket grill on his twin turbo legacy. This job is relatively straightforward and one we could turn around in a few days.

First we took pictures to capture the profile of the badge and 3D model it in CAD with some simple reference dimensions. Once this was complete, we designed a sandwich plate type of mounting, so as to not damage the grill and keep it removable as requested by the customer. We 3D printed the mount from PETG so it will be weather and temperature resistant.
